When I was growing up, being in
primary school before grade 5 I didn’t know that I will be preaching today.
When I was in Grade 3 just chilling with friends at the back seat making noise,
I didn’t know that the spirit of the lord will come upon me and use and start
preaching out of nowhere, in fact after I finished preaching, I went outside
trying to figure out what just happened but couldn’t find the answer. I just
don’t know. What I know is that it was God!
Growing up with peers I didn’t
know that I will turn up to be different from them. I didn’t know that God
called me, all I knew was that I would preach if you asked me to. One of the
most important things that my mother taught me, what I know is when she said”
don’t refuse to do the work of God” whether is cleaning, singing, ushering or
playing instrument in the church, don’t refuse to do it.
Sometimes we don’t know what to
pray for and we would just stand in the presence of God and just say Thank you
Lord. Sometimes we don’t know how to put our needs to God in words and when
that happens, I would say Lord you know. Sometimes we are caught up in
situations where we wonder how we got there and find out that we cannot explain
it. Most of the time I know we say is witchcraft, karma or satan when we can’t
explain it. Well satan deserves the blame for all the wrongs he is doing but
God knows. Before taking your energy, time and casting out the devil can you at
least go to God who knows and ask?
Whatever we are going through in
our daily lives, it doesn’t have to be in church for God to know it but He
knows even in dark places where we can’t see, He knows in our workplaces, He
knows in our schools, He knows in politics and society. We are talking about
the God who know the number of our hair. We must just let God’s knowledge to
work in our lives because sometimes we end being deceived by the world because
we think God doesn’t know. That’s why we have Christians who still goes to traditional healers because they feel like this one God won’t know. Most times we use
church programs, religious knowledge where we shouldn’t.
There are things in my life that
happened, some didn’t happen and I don’t know why they happened, some why they
didn’t happen. We are unable to explain the tragedies of life most of the time
and natural hazards because we don’t know. We only know when the Holy Spirit
reveals things unto us. (John 16:12-14) for we don’t know how to get to the
truth unless the spirit of the Lord guides us. That’s why today we have
Christians asking questions with the rise of false prophets about who is real
and who is fake. A pastor, deacon, sister or brother might not be able to answer
you because they don’t know but God knows.
That’s why Matthew 16: 15-17’
Nobody knew who Jesus was,
pharisees, big priests who would go to church almost every now and then didn’t
know who Jesus was. But peter when he answered correctly Jesus said it doesn’t
come from flesh and blood because flesh doesn’t know, only the spirit of God
that is able to search the deep things of God and able to open our eyes that
couldn’t see and ears that couldn’t hear.
I know sometimes we get mixed up,
get in pain and find that we are broken to the point where people don’t
acknowledge us, we get to the point where we are broken and have no one around
to ask or confide in, because they don’t acknowledge us.
Some people they
acknowledge you only when you have money, power and influence. It is not
because they acknowledge you but they are acknowledging what you have, what you
possess and as long they can acknowledge what you have, they will always be
closer to you. But God in our pain He still acknowledges us in our times of
need, in our weaknesses, where nobody recognizes us. He acknowledges our
brokenness, the father acknowledged his son messed up, when he came back
broken. The bible says he acknowledged him (the Prodigal son) when he was still
a great far and had compassion. God acknowledges our bad/worse situations, He
acknowledges us even when we are muddy. He doesn’t just acknowledge and look
away but he acknowledges with compassion and redeems us from the situation.
Exodus 3: 25
God is looking into your life this
moment and He knows what needs to be changed, He knows what need to be
delivered and healed.
